Homeowner Energy Savings

Utility Company Energy Saving Incentives

Through the statewide Residential Energy-Efficiency Contractor Program, utility companies are offering cash incentives for you to get your home's heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) system diagnosed and tuned up, and for taking other energy-efficiency steps. The program, which is authorized by the California Public Utilities Commission, is designed to encourage energy efficiency on a "whole house" basis for optimal comfort and economy.

Energy Efficiency Financing

EEF is a type of loan which allows a homeowner or home buyer to borrow more money to finance energy efficient improvements or upgrades.

Photovoltaics

How would you like having the sun power up to 100% of your home's energy usage? Watch your meter spin backwards! This is currently a reality and the California Energy Commission is giving a large incentive towards the purchase of the system. Contact us for more information.

Energy Savings Tips

* Turn off lighting where it's not essential for safety, such as hallways, lobbies, warehouses and displays.
* Reduce lighting in office buildings and task lighting at desks.
* Turn off computers and printers that are not in use.
* Lower the thermostats to 68 degrees in non-critical areas.
* Before leaving the house each day, turn off your home computer and any other small appliances not in use.
